CAWA Board Member Cheing-Mei Suen appointed to serve on the Naperville Public Library Board of Trustees

Consistent with CAWA’s mission of encouraging Chinese American women to engage and lead at all levels of government, CAWA is proud to announce that our board member, Cheing-Mei Suen was appointed by Naperville Mayor Scott Wehrli to serve on the Naperville Public Library Board of Trustees.  The Library Board is charged with overseeing the operations of the city library system and expenditures of all library funds.

Cheing-Mei retired from Lucent /Nokia after 35 years as an R&D Department Head managing multi-million-dollar global telecommunications products. Her professional experiences in US, China, Poland and Finland fostered a strong passion for increasing multicultural awareness and sensitivity. She is also a conservationist as a member of NEST.
