March 10, 2024
CAWA Youth did a fantastic job discussing, sharing and presenting insights to their peers as to how to handle awkward, “sticky” situations. Scenarios presented ranged from peer dynamics to Asian-American specific challenges.
February 25, 2024
As a Kick Off event for the year, the event used storytelling as a way to engage with the youth. As the youth opened up, it became clear that their stories were so similar among their peers-very personal and vulnerable. At the end of the session, participants expressed appreciation of having a safe place to talk about their stories and how they felt very supported.
2024 is a pivotal election year with candidates running for President and many other positions at the federal, state and county level. CAWA aims to focus on strengthening and empowering our community by sponsoring programs to encourage participation in our most important political process.
