Chinese American Women in Action (CAWA) will host the 2025 CAWA Community Conference on Saturday, September 13, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM at Wentz Science Center, North Central College, 131 S. Loomis Street in Naperville. The conference celebrates Constitution Day and honors the vital contributions of Chinese and Asian Americans to the United States.
“This year’s conference comes at a time when constitutional rights and birthright citizenship are at the forefront of national conversations. These are issues profoundly relevant for all Americans, and we are proud to create a forum for education, dialogue, and community connection,” said Nancy Chen, CAWA President.
The conference is presented in partnership with the Coalition for a Better Chinese American Community (CBCAC), United Chinese Americans–Chicago (UCA-Chicago), and the Midwest Asian Health Association (MAHA). Students, parents, community members and educators will explore timely topics—including the U.S. Constitution, youth identity, and mental wellness—while engaging in cultural activities such as storytelling, art, and hands-on workshops.
